TanDEM-X – a valuable partner for TerraSAR-X
TanDEM-X (TerraSAR-X add-on for Digital Elevation Measurements) has been agreed as a new Public Private Partnership between Astrium GmbH and DLR.
Starting in 2009, a second, very similar spacecraft will orbit in a formation flight with TerraSAR-X. This constellation will allow the generation of a global digital elevation models (DEMs) at an unprecedented accuracy, coverage and quality.
